My Blogging Song: “Oh How I Need You”
I have a blogging song.
I first got the idea when a friend and fellow blogger shared hers. She said she listens to it over and over again while she’s working because it reminds her that everything she does is for God, and not for her own fame.
I love that!
While I can’t listen to music while I write (in fact, I need complete silence), I too wanted to find a song to help bind my heart to Jesus. Because as you might guess, it can be a temptation to feel important when standing up on a platform of sorts. And the last thing I want to do is taint God’s mission with my own sinful desire for glory.
While I sense He has protected me from that in many ways, I also know I’m not immune.
I began to pray and consider what my blogging song might be. Within a few days, I heard the “Oh How I Need You” by All Sons and Daughters, and I knew, it was perfect.
It reminds me of my complete and utter dependence on God. I deeply know that I can do nothing apart from Him, He is the source and He deserves the credit.
Every facet of this song applies to my life and heart’s cry for my blog! When we seek God, He is found! When we doubt Him, He is found. It’s all for Him, by Him and unto Him!
To Him be the glory!

That’s an awesome song and I love the heart behind your blog. The world needs more voices like yours! The song that carries me through anything that come my way is probably “Oceans” by Hillsong United. Be it starting a blog, having a supernatural(twin) childbirth or a daily moment with my children, no matter what we go through God will be there to hold our hand and make our faith in Him only stronger.
All Sons and Daughters’ music is my favorite to worship to! I love how soft and simple it is without too many distracting instrumentals. Their song that speaks to me the most is “Your Glory”
They are probably my favorite group right now! That’s a great song too!
