The Final Key to a Minimal Wardrobe, PLUS a $100 Stitch Fix Credit Giveaway!

the final key to a minimal wardrobe

I think Stitch Fix is super fun and a great idea!

In the fall I ordered my first fix. In the winter I ordered another one. And because I’ve shared my referral link in blog posts in the past, I have earned enough referral credit to purchase two pairs of jeans, a top and a necklace!

I still had referral credit to spend, so I gleefully logged on to scheduled another fix.

But as I began to think about it, I realized that I don’t presently need anything more. I am totally content with the clothes I have, and between my awesome, new Stitch Fix stuff and some Christmas gifts, I’ve decided I’m ready to be done, at least for this season.

Because as much fun as it’s been to give attention and resources to establishing a classy, minimal wardrobe, it won’t stay minimal if I keep shopping!

Because the final key to a minimal wardrobe is this: know when you’ve arrived!

Learning to identify when I’m done has been a powerful key to minimalism and, more importantly contentmentThis allows me to put a stop to the pursuit of more stuff and to be happy with what I already have

So, I emailed Stitch Fix and asked them if I could give my referral credit away.

They said “Sure!” (They’re pretty great people to work with).

So, that’s just what I’m doing!

Enter below to win $100 of my Stitch Fix referral credit.

On Friday, January 22nd, I will choose a winner!

Meanwhile, check out this sweet Simple-Girl’s Guide to Stitch Fix I’ve put together and see what it’s all about here.

Note: You must set up a Stitch Fix account to claim your prize. Stitch Fix only ships within the United States.

P.S. If you so desire to sign up and schedule yourself a fix today, you will still have plenty of time to cash in this referral credit prize should you win. Once scheduled, it will take a few weeks to receive your fix.

Katie, I think it is incredibly generous, kind, and sweet of you to give away our credit! I would love some modest summer dresses, soooo hard to find! Hoping who ever wins is blessed by your generosity!

  2. Stacy Turk says:

I would get some pretty, feminine tops. I’ve been stuck in a fleece and sweatshirt rut for far too long!! Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. Holly says:

I feel like my wardrobe could use an infusion of more polished pieces…seems like all I wear lately are jeans and t-shirts 🙂

  4. Nicole says:

Thanks for the chance! I would love to get a great fitting pair of jeans.

  5. Emily J says:

In my last couple fix notes, I’ve been asking for a dress for the office, so that’s probably how I’d spend it! Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. Tara says:

I would love a great handbag! Maybe yellow for spring 🙂

  7. Amy Tebow says:

I would use it build my wardrobe to a slightly more stylish style than my current jeans! Thank you for giving me a chance!!

  8. Mindy says:

I just received my first Stitch Fix box the other day and loved it! Thanks so much for creating this giveaway, you are so generous! 🙂

  9. Jarah says:

I’m needing britches! I’ve been losing weight (but as a nursing mom, not boob size) so my pants don’t fit. While this is convenient for layering in the cold (I wear 3 pairs of thermals under my jeans!!!) it isn’t exactly flattering. 🙂

  10. Cara says:

I have been curious to try stitch fix! It seems that having someone tell me what clothes would work well with my body type would be helpful! Even help me to step out of my comfort zone!

  11. Amelia says:

What a great idea! Thanks so much for your generosity.

  12. What a great idea! I’ll have to check out your minimal wardrobe. I edited my clothes with the KonMari Method and then only had 2 pairs of black capris – which is not great in the winter! I finally bought myself a pair of work trousers. I’d probably get another pair of work pants – or a plaid or denim long sleeve shirt!

  13. Diane says:

I’d like some new long sleeve tops and light sweaters!

  14. laura jean says:

Post-baby-body-loving tops and dresses, but particularly clothes with great color and pattern, not the med neutrals so prevalent in maternity wear.

  15. Hillary W. says:

I would love some new pants! Or maybe a cute skirt for business!! Clothes shopping is my favorite 🙂

  16. Kim Henrichs says:

I would love a dress for my vacation!!

  17. Jeanna says:

I would love to get a pair of jeans that I won’t ever want to take off! Or maybe a new purse!!

  18. Lauren says:

I accidentally submitted without submitting a comment, so I’m placing my comment here. I would love to buy modest tops for spring and summer. This is the first summer that I’m not either pregnant or breastfeeding, and I only own about four non-maternity summer shirts, and I live in West Texas where summer days easily exceed 100 degrees. And I’d love for Stitch Fix to help me because shopping gives me nightmares, everything I choose looks terrible once I put it on. My mother and sister say I’m fashion challenged 🙂

  19. Savannah says:

What a thoughtful, sacrificial giveaway, Katie! I’m looking to keep expanding my tops collection to get long shirts that I like instead of ones that are always riding up on my long torso! I’m also looking forward to simplifying by weeding out the things I don’t really like.

  20. Crystal Reddick says:

Great idea!! I actually just scheduled a fix this morning! Hoping to get something mustard yellow (top or cardigan/jacket) to replace a pilling cardigan.

  21. Rachel Walden says:

Thanks so much for being gracious and giving us all an opportunity to get some new things! =) I would love to get some delicate feminine outfits. =)

  22. Natalie says:

Being newly married getting new clothes is not a first priority! It would be great to get some dresses or tops or pants! Ha! Being able to get clothes ment for adults would be great!

  23. Meredith says:

I have wanted to try stitch fix for a while and haven’t done it but am currently cleaning my closet and only keeping what I love and can wear right now. 🙂 Thank you for offering this giveaway, what fun!

  24. Ashley says:

I’m a stripe addict. So something with stripes! Actually, a friend got a sleeveless chambray through stitch fix that I would *love* to have this summer!

  25. Alicia says:

I love that you’re doing this give away!!! My level of respect for you just went to a whole higher level! And it was already pretty high! Love this!!

  26. Katelyn says:

I’m in desperate need of new everyday tops that can go with a bunch of different outfits 🙂

  27. Hillary says:

I would love to get some new dress clothes for work and ministry.

  28. Amber says:

I would use it for classy shirts that could be worn to my future teaching job.

  29. Heather S. says:

I would love to win this to update my wardrobe since having a couple kiddos.

  30. Halsy says:

I would love to get some Flowy tops and accessories.

  31. Jessica says:

Jeans! I am sick of living in leggings…

  32. Candace says:

I need new pants so badly! What a fun giveaway!

  33. Amanda says:

I would love to win! I would look for tops that fit me well and flatter my post baby body!
