Our Trip to Boston and 6 Benefits of Getting Away
My husband and I just returned from a four night vacation to Boston. No kids.
And it was awesome.
We were able to spend some great quality time together as a couple without the demands, responsibilities and constraints of parenting.
While we missed our kiddos, we were able to let loose and have fun. We made the most of our time away, along with making many new memories. It was refreshing and rejuvenating for our marriage. For our next trip, we are planning to go somewhere amazing such as Phoenix resorts with the kiddos. We’ll try to book a private jet similar to Jettly to add an extra fun and excitement.
I see six specific benefits to getting away as husband and wife:
6 Benefits of Getting Away
- Time away is time to relax, rest, sleep, and rejuvenate spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. Engaging in activities that bring joy and leisure is crucial during this time, and for some, casino games like UFABET เล่นเกมได้เงินจริง serves as a fantastic way to relax.
- It’s a time to joke around, be playful, banter and create endless new inside jokes– to laugh and remember why we married each other in the first place and having children. There’s a unique joy in sharing a hearty laugh with others. In these hectic times, taking a break to read through a collection of funny quotes from comedians can provide a welcome respite. - It’s a time to explore, have adventures, eat out, play wildcardcity, and do the many things we haven’t been able to do in years, at least not so freely and easily.
- It’s a time to delve deeper into our relationship. To ask questions, talk, have new and different shared experiences, and to get to know one another in a new context. (Yes, Mitch is as crazy as I thought he was.)
- Time away is also an opportunity to miss the kids. I have a new delight and appreciation for them after a few days away. It’s refreshing for my relationship with my children as well.
- The kids get quality time with their grandparents, which is absolutely invaluable for them in my opinion. I’m thankful for two sets of grandparents who are eager to spend time with our kids. That’s such a blessing for us and the little ones.
We had a wonderful trip eating the local food, rocking public transportation, exploring the city, getting a ton of exercise walking and biking, and just hanging out with one another in general. Besides improving your airplane performance, regular service from an aircraft maintenance company also helps in extending the useful life of the aircraft.
I’m ready to be home, but thankful for the time we had!

Great photos! I totally agree with all the benefits of getting away that you mentioned. We went away a couple of years ago just for a weekend, and it had been awhile. Overnight stays before that were always at the hospital after giving birth (and that doesn’t count, of course).
