About Me
I’m Katie! I’m the gal behind the blog here at {EaSL}.
In my past life, I was an elementary teacher. When my daughter was born I officially stepped out of the career world to be a full-time mom.
When I made that transition, I lost out on money and opportunity, as well as an outlet for ambition, glory, and feeling important. That was a wake-up call for me… a good one.
I’ve learned that what I gained is pretty cool too: a simple life. No frills. No extravagance or excess. Just Jesus, and my family, and my home. This is my ministry now, and it’s good.
I have learned, and continue to learn, what it means to embrace and appreciate a simpler life –to find contentment with where God has me today. To clear out the excess and make the most of what matters most.
And you can too, whether you work or not, or have children at home or none.
And so, here I am blogging about just that. I hope you will be encouraged.
